Guests are responsible for disposing of their garbage at one of the nearby waste management centres in Kawartha Lakes. We provide detailed directions to these facilities. A fine will be imposed for garbage left on the property to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the space for all guests.

• Laxton-Digby-Longford (Norland) 3225 Monck Road. (Approximately 2 km west of Norland). Winter Thursday: 11am to 5pm. Sunday: 12pm to 5pm. (5min)
• Lindsay Ops landfill: 51 Wilson Road. Open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8am to 5pm. Open Saturdays from 8am to 3pm. (34min)
• Eldon landfill: 311 Rockview Road. Open Wednesdays from 9am to 5pm and Saturdays & Sunday from 11am to 5pm. (20min)
• Somerville landfill: 381 Ledge Hill Road. Open Mondays and Fridays, Saturday from 11am to 5pm (15min)
• Fenelon landfill: 341 Mark Road. Open Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9am to 5pm. (23min)

Norland Cottage comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests. The main cottage has two bedrooms—one with a queen bed and the other with a bunk bed (double bed on the bottom, single on top). The separate bunkie offers additional sleeping space with two queen beds.
